Did you know that there is something actually called “the beauty of God” which is referenced in the word of God?
While preparing for last month’s seminar I came across the phrase, “the beauty of God” in two scriptures as follows:
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. (Psalm 27:4)
And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. (Psalm 90:7)
The Strong’s Concordance defines the word “beauty” used in both of these scriptures as the:
Therefore we can conclude that the true beauty of God is actually the grace, pleasantness, delight and splendor of God. If we are to be called beautiful in God and exhibit true beauty, we must exhibit these four characters of our beautiful God.
As such, from a wholelistic standpoint:
TRUE BEAUTY IS TAKING ON GOD’S GRACE, PLEASANTNESS, DELIGHT & SPLENDOR IN BODY, SPIRIT & SOUL
How beautiful are you? It’s more than the outer beauty!
Following are two additional slides from the presentation which speaks specifically about he beauty of God.
